📘 Regulatory reference

With its publication in the Official Journal No. 267 of November 9, 2021, Law No. 156 of November 9, 2021, authorizes the use of replacement license plates during off-road motorcycle competitions involving road transfers.

Relevant extract from the standard:

“Motorcycles engaged in off-road motorsport competitions […] may display, limited to the days and routes of the race, a replacement license plate consisting of a self-built panel reproducing the vehicle’s registration data.
The panel must have a yellow background, black numbers and letters , and identical dimensional characteristics to the license plate it replaces, ensuring visibility and positioning in compliance with the regulations.
Use is permitted to competitors in possession of a valid FMI sports license , exclusively for the duration of the event and along the authorized route.”
